Can I be trusted?

Sadly, although I am a genuine owner, I am painfully aware of stories that we all read in the press regarding scams involving holiday lets (and many other areas of life). Although these types of incidents are extremely rare, they inevitably, and rightly, attract widespread coverage.

I am also aware of how it can be slightly nerve racking to hand over money to someone you don't know, I've booked many holidays myself in this way.

So this page is to let you know a little more about me, and explain why I can be trusted to ensure you receive a fabulous cottage break in beautiful Polperro in exchange for your money!

About Me

I'm originally from the Isle of Man, and moved to Liverpool, England to go to Polytechnic at the end of the seventies (I know, from my picture I don't look a day over 29, but it's true!). I moved down to London in the mid-eighties after completing my degree, and worked and lived there for 22 years before finally moving to Brighton in 2007, where I now live with my girlfriend Vanessa.

I purchased the cottage in May 2015, and have been letting it out ever since (it was already a holiday cottage when I bought it). It was, until recently (see blog page!), listed on Owners Direct, with glowing reviews, although I am now advertising on some alternative listings sites (Simply Owners, theholidaylet.com, and ownerholidays.com).

I'm happy to supply a landline number to anyone making an enquiry via this site, and I'd be happy to chat to you, if you want to satisfy yourself that I'm a real person. You can ask me anything about Polperro, or the Isle of Man (or Liverpool football club), and I can provide facts and figures that should convince you that I am a genuine owner!
